I believe in one God, revealed to us in the Three Persons called the Trinity.  Each person of the Trinity is equal and fulfills different roles in God's holy creation.

I believe God is the Creator of all things and the source of all goodness and love.  God is eternal and forever faithful.  I encounter God not only through the Word given to us in Scripture but also in everything I encounter: the kindness of a person I meet; the love and devotion of an animal; the beauty of nature. God touches every aspect of my life.

I believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son, sent into the world to redeem us of our sins.  Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.  Jesus was fully divine and fully human. Jesus was God revealed to us.  He was sent to earth to fully reconcile the world with God and take away its sins.  Jesus offered His life as a sacrifice to pay for our sins. We are called into faith by believing in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is our mediator with God and is the only way we can be saved.

I believe in the Holy Spirit.  It is always with me and with everything created by God. The Holy Spirit comforts me, guides me, and counsels me.  The Holy Spirit opens up the true meaning of God's Word, the Bible, as I read it and study it.  The Holy Spirit is an important part of my prayer life, helping me to discern the true Word of God.  In everything I do, whether it is reading scripture, praying, or interacting with others, I listen to the Spirit for guidance in what I need to do or say.

I believe Scripture is the Word of God, written by people who were inspired and led by the Holy Spirit.  To read the Word of God is to see God’s intimate and constant involvement with humankind. By reading, studying, praying about, and listening to Scripture, I gain a better understanding of what God is calling me to do and become more aware of how God is intersecting my life.

I believe in the two Sacraments of our church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the sign of God's Covenant with each of us.  We are all born children of God.  It is through baptism that we are washed of our sins and adopted into the Church and our faith community.  The Lord's Supper reminds us, every time we partake of it, of the sacrifice made for each of us by Jesus.  It is a physical reminder of the communion we will always have with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Through the Lord's Supper, we are empowered to live the life God calls us to live and unites us with fellow believers.

I believe Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and that the Church is the body of Christ.  Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called into a faith community, believing in and being obedient to Jesus Christ.  We are called to serve and seek justice for all people.  We are called to make disciples of all nations so they, too, may come to know the eternal life, grace, and reconciliation given us by God through Jesus Christ.
